Charging Recommendations

Always ensure that charging is done while you are present, on non-flammable impermeable surface such as concrete or steel, with adequate ventilation, and with proper fire extinguishing equipment nearby.

1. Always ensure that the battery is not hot and is at room temperature before charging.

2. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger. Do not store the battery on the charger for extended periods of time. Please note that storing a battery in a charger that is not plugged into the wall, can potentially cause the battery to drain back into the charger. This was more common with older chargers and we have also noted it in some newer chargers.

3. It is recommended to not store the battery on the device when not in use. Storing the battery separately removes the possibility of the device slowly draining the battery. 

4. If you have not used the battery for 2-3 months, we would recommend recharging the battery and if possible, use them. This helps maintain their health.

5. Lastly, be sure to store your battery in a dry environment. If possible, avoid temperatures below freezing and above 110F to maximize battery life.

Shipping

NiCad & NiMH batteries are dry cell batteries and are not regulated as long as they are protected from becoming shorted during transit. No special packaging or labeling is required.

We Need to Get Back to Reparing

We all say it "no one repairs like things like they used to!" I say "MTO Battery does!" Why toss that perfectly working cordless drill just because the battery is no longer made? Stop the waste. Support craftsmen and women who care, and know how to fix tools and machines! This is my second rebuild (two separate batteries for the same drill) and I am very happy with the ease of transaction, the cost is in line with new batteries, and the service is quick. Milwaukee, ATV battery rebuilt

I tried a number of the Chinese batteries for my Milwaukee saws all. It’s 30 years old but built right then I came across. MTO . They quoted me a price and told me it would be about a week to rebuild my battery. I got it back and there seem to be a problem so I called them. They sent me a label paid for the ship in both ways they reinspected it repaired it and sent it back. I’ll tell you this is what we call old-fashioned customer service and it sure is nice to give your money to Americans instead of Chinese. I highly recommendMTO to everyone who has a battery powered tool. Can’t beat it up front price and good customer service.
