Charging information

1. Always ensure that the battery is not hot and is at room temperature before charging.

2. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger. Do not store the battery on the charger for extended periods of time. Please note that storing a battery in a charger that is not plugged into the wall, can potentially cause the battery to drain back into the charger. This was more common with older chargers and we have also noted it in some newer chargers.

3. It is recommended to not store the battery on the device when not in use. Storing the battery separately removes the possibility of the device slowly draining the battery. 

4. If you have not used the battery for 2-3 months, we would recommend recharging the battery and if possible, use them. This helps maintain their health.

5. Lastly, be sure to store your battery in a dry environment. If possible, avoid temperatures below freezing and above 110F to maximize battery life..

This is a DIY kit for you to replace the cells inside of your CE5 24V Neuton battery pack. The kit includes 2pc of 12V / 10Ah VRLA batteries. These are great-quality batteries and are the correct size for the CE5 Neuton 24V battery pack. This does not include any instructions, tools, wiring, or the charging circuit board. Each battery is tested before being shipped. 

You do not need to send anything to us with this purchase. Item color/brand may vary.

Rebuild Simplicity

For those of us who still own a battery powered DR Whisperlite Electric Lawnmower, the thought of finding a replacement battery set for this long outdated mower seems like an impossible dream. However, thanks to MTO Battery which offers the CE5 24V Neuton DIY Battery Rebuild Kit, we were able to easily extract the old batteries from the mower battery box and install a completely new set from the rebuild kit which came with two 12 volt lead acid batteries already connected to each other in series. Slipping the batteries into the old battery box and connecting them to the charging circuitry was a breeze and after fully charging the new battery set, full power was restored to the old DR Whilperlite which made short work of our small patch of green. These arrived and I placed them right in. You just have to be careful not to pinch the wires when putting the end piece back on. Save the shipping costs!
